#MMDM Event – 8/29 benefiting Chicago Lighthouse

Make My Day Monday is proud to partner with Chicago Lighthouse at Chicago hotspot Hubard Inn to spread awareness about their cause and have a great night raising money with close friends.

The Chicago Lighthouse was founded in 1906 by a group of women volunteers, both blind and sighted, working out of the basement of a doctor’s home offering clothing and food to Chicagoans who were blind, many of them homeless.

Since then, the Chicago Lighthouse has evolved into the most comprehensive private rehabilitation and educational facility in the nation dedicated to assisting children, youth and adults who are blind, visually impaired or multi-disabled.

The idea of “Make My Day Mondays” or “MMDM” is every Monday to make an effort to help someone in need. The distinction of “MMDM” is not to focus on a dollar amount or a specific organization, but to behave with a sense of strong morality and support for the community.
